Description

  • Polyurethane foam is currently the best thermal insulation material in the world. Its thermal conductivity is much lower than other foam materials such as XPS, PET, PVC, EPS, rock wool, etc., and it has excellent thermal insulation effect. PU foam can usually be divided into two types: soft and hard according to its own density. The density of conventional soft PU foam is only 35~45kg/m³, while the density of this glass fiber reinforced PU foam can reach 450kg/m³. At the same time, it also avoids the problem that soft PU is easy to fall off.
  • High-density glass fiber reinforced polyurethane rigid foam is a structural material with high strength, high rigidity, thermal insulation and other properties. Its strength can be higher than natural wood, and its density can be lower than natural wood. It can be used as a high-end product instead of wood.
  • In addition, this PU foam also has good oil resistance, wear resistance, aging resistance and high adhesion. The pull-out force can reach 1650N, and it can also withstand long-term weather resistance of -40℃~120℃.

Fire Performance of High-density PU Board

After adding flame retardant, polyurethane is a flame-retardant self-extinguishing material. Its softening point can reach more than 250 degrees Celsius and will only decompose at higher temperatures. In addition, when polyurethane burns, it will form carbon deposits on the surface of the foam. This layer of carbon deposits can help isolate the foam below and effectively prevent the spread of flames. Moreover, polyurethane does not produce harmful gases at high temperatures.

Applications

  • High-density glass fiber reinforced PU foam can be used for model engraving. It can be widely used in model design of computers, refrigerators, cars, airplanes, electrical appliances, etc. It can make up for the large errors and easy-to-use materials such as plaster, paraffin, wood, and aluminum. It has shortcomings such as moisture deformation and is suitable for high-precision CNC machining.

  • It can also be widely used as the core material of RVs, refrigerated trucks, wall insulation, cold storage, and insulated boxes. Its strength and hardness are far superior to other insulation materials.
