GRP plywood sandwich panels are a sandwich structure composite material with plywood as the core material and GRP sheet as the skin. Bonding a layer of GRP on the surface of the plywood can greatly improve the physical properties of the plywood and make up for its inherent shortcomings.

Why Choose GRP as The Surface Material of Plywood?

Plywood effectively utilizes timber resources and reduces the exploitation of forest resources. It is a composite board formed by multi-layer thin wood boards bonded together by glue and subjected to high pressure. The wood grain direction of each layer of veneer is generally arranged crosswise, which improves the strength, stability and durability of the plywood. But pure plywood has one of its biggest drawbacks: it’s not waterproof. Plywood that has been exposed to the elements for a long time is particularly prone to rot, which reduces its service life. GRP sheet can help plywood to insulate water, steam and chemical liquids, while also increasing its compressive strength.
