Description

Adding GMT (Glass Mat Thermoplastic) felt to composite panels is an advanced reinforcement material application method that can significantly improve the overall performance of composite panels.

Introduction to GMT felt cloth

GMT felt is a composite material made of glass fiber felt and thermoplastic resin (such as polypropylene, nylon, etc.). Fiberglass provides high strength and rigidity, while thermoplastic resin provides good toughness and workability. This material retains the high-performance properties of fiberglass with the ease of processing and recyclability of thermoplastic resins.

Advantages of adding GMT felt

  • Improve strength and rigidity

The glass fiber in GMT felt enhances the strength and rigidity of the composite panel, allowing it to withstand greater loads and pressures, making it ideal for applications requiring high strength, such as RV floors.

  • Enhanced impact resistance

GMT felt has good impact resistance and can effectively absorb and disperse external impact, reducing panel damage and maintenance needs.

Applications

Insulated wall panels for RVs, box trucks, mobile homes, boats and more.
