Multi-axial fabric is a reinforced material with multi-axial and multi-layer structure. The number of layers, the axial direction, the grammage and the specific fiber weight of each layer vary depending on the application.

It is composed of untwisted rovings as warp yarns and various axial weft yarns arranged in parallel. It can be stitched into tight arrangements, equally spaced arrangements, grid-like arrangements, etc. according to the purpose, and the number of fibers in different axial directions can be adjusted. Common axial directions are ±45° for two axes, ±45° plus 0° for three axes, and ±45° plus 0° plus 90° for four axes. Because the fiber structure is designable, and the fiber arrangement direction can be consistent with the force direction, making the strength and modulus of multi-axial fiber fabrics 30% to 60% higher than other fabrics. At the same time, it also greatly enhances the impact energy absorption of multi-axial fabrics, which is more than double the impact resistance of ordinary woven fabrics.In addition, multi-axial fiberglass fabric also greatly improves fiber utilization and can reduce material costs by 15% to 20%.
