None gelcoat GRP is made by mixing pre-impregnated fiberglass with resin, and then the mixture is shaped into the desired shape by manual or automated processes and then cured. It has no gelcoat layer, reducing material waste and production costs. GRP without gelcoat has exactly the same performance characteristics as GRP with gelcoat.
